Rev. T McKinley
Rev. T McKinley is a teacher, author, interspiritual minister, and co-founder of My Spirit Community. He is a dynamic speaker with an edge and a fantastic sense of humor. He brings appropriate lightness to the serious business of restructuring our spirituality in order to release the shame imposed by many religious traditions. He encourages people to step into their own spiritual authority and create healthy images of God.
His first book, Boy in the Ivy: The Inner Child of a Buried Man, is a memoir of his experience as a suicide loss survivor, his own struggle with depression, and his first steps on the road to healing. Since its publication, he has been researching and speaking out on the subjects of shame and depression, as well as establishing his own interfaith ministry.
Rev. T has written a second book entitled Reclaiming My Spirit: Beyond the God of Shame wherein he connects the modern epidemic of shame to our current crisis of faith. He describes a process by which we can step into our spiritual authority to explore, assess, and revise our personal images of God.
